Executive, Automation Developer

NTU Shared Services (NSS) is a centralized unit within Nanyang Technological University (NTU) that provides a wide range of administrative, operational, and support services to various departments and units within the university. Its primary goal is to streamline and optimize processes, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality services to support NTU's core mission of education and research.

Job Description

The Executive, a key member of NTU Shared Services (NSS) Automation team, is responsible for developing automation initiatives. Working closely with business stakeholders, their primary responsibility is to understand business needs, document, develop, tests and implement low-code solutions to automate business processes. They are also responsible for maintaining implemented solution and troubleshoot issues.

Additionally, the Executive, if inclined, may be exposed to requirement gathering, solution designing and peer mentoring opportunities.

Responsibilities

Primary

• Understand business requirements
• Document design specification, technical details and user guide
• Utilise low-code platforms (e.g. UiPath, Outsystems) to develop automated applications
• Ensure data integrity, security and proper error handling
• Perform testing and quality assurance activities
• Provide support during development, deployment and maintenance phases

Secondary

• Requirement gathering, design solution and peer mentoring.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering
• Proficiency in UiPath
• Some Experience in automation development roles or demonstrated willingness to learn this field
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
• Entry level and mid-career switchers are welcome to apply

Good-to-have

• Experience in programming
• Experience using Outsystems and Power Query
• Knowledge of data integration, APIs, data transformation
