To support the research for the project titled: "Multispectral Nanophotonics for Sustainability", the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is seeking to hire a responsible project officer.

The Project Officer will work on a project to conduct the research on development of nanophotonic structures for optical computations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and develop theoretical models for nanophotonics interacting with structured materials.
  • Apply numerical models to analyze various metamaterials, providing valuable information for simulating real materials exactly (to numerical precision).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to joint research projects


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with focus on Many-body physics.
  • Experience in matlab, MEEP, RCWA and other softwares and algorithms.
  • Good understanding of metamaterials, metasurfaces and optical computations.
  • Strong knowledge of optical physics, while experimental experience would be preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor.
