The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) is seeking to hire a Research Engineer I (for Bachelor degree holder) or Research Engineer II (for Master degree holder) to conduct research and development under an externally funded project on autonomous vehicle perception security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and evaluate approaches to defend against adversarial example attacks on autonomous vehicle's perception system
• Write research papers and project reports, and conduct the demonstration of the created technologies

Job Requirements:

• For Research Engineer I position, a Bachelor degree in computer science/engineering, electrical engineering, information engineering, vehicle engineering, or related disciplines is required.
• For Research Engineer II position, a Master degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or related disciplines is required.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas is required: embedded artificial intelligence, computer vision, radar/LiDAR data processing, cyber-physical systems, autonomous driving
• Initial exposure to research is a plus
• Research publication on recognized/prestigious venues is a strong plus
