Senior Assistant Director, Workforce Planning and Analytics
As the key custodian of the manpower planning exercise and positions in NTU, the candidate will lead annual manpower planning exercise, analyse workforce trends and metrics to support executive decisions on the University's budget and operations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage the development and implementation of manpower policy for the University, such as the process for establishing new positions and replacement of existing positions in the Delegation of Authority.
  • Review new and replacement headcount requests and organisation structures with HR Business Partners and present these requests at Headcount Rationalisation Panel meetings alongside with HR's assessment and recommendations.
  • Oversee Staffing and Organisation partner roles in Workday to manage changes to University positions and organisation structure, and playing a governance role to ensure that processes are done correctly.
  • Analyse current and future workforce requirements and trends and propose recommended solutions to drive business decisions and strategic workforce planning. This includes:
    • Working closely with University leadership to anticipate future demand and changes to education needs and assess the necessary manpower plans and capabilities to enable the University to meet these requirements
    • Analysing complex datasets to present useful manpower data for analysis and reporting.
    • Performing predictive analytics and modelling to determine workforce trends. e.g. projection of number of new faculty required annually based on college faculty-to-student ratios and/or projecting admin manpower flows.
    • Designing and developing dashboards on workforce data and trends.
  • Partner HRIS to facilitate ongoing improvements to Workday system for manpower planning
  • Provide accurate and timely manpower data to both internal and external stakeholders


Requirements
  • Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Human Resources or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, policy making, manpower planning & capability development
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred (familiarity with statistical packages and/or SQL a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong analytical and critical thinking ability. Deep interest and aptitude in data metrics and trends
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders to translate data into meaningful information for supporting manpower and recruitment strategies and planning
  • Knack for presenting data in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills
