The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant.

The Research Assistant (RA) will work on a project to develop a simulation and exploration framework to investigate new means of computing fabric enabled by ultrasonic waves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mathematical modeling of the ultrasonic wave computing fabric.
• Area, power, latency and energy estimation of the wave computing fabric
• Integration of the model with system-level simulation framework
• Dataflow mapping strategy to integrate this fabric with a conventional digital computing system
• Development of methodologies to estimate power and performance of this new compute fabric.
• Develop an FPGA-based demonstration prototype.

Job Requirements:

• BSc in Electrical, Computer, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant fields
• >1-year research experience in related area
• Expertise in architectural simulation of computing systems
• Publication track record is an advantage
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++
• Knowledge of Verilog-a device modeling and SPICE is an advantage
• Proficiency in English
